“Our kids joined Middlebury Wrestling Club last year when they were 7 and 10. As a family we had very little knowledge of the sport. The coaches and volunteers did a great job keeping it fun and educational for them. We got a lot of support from the coaches at our first meet and the boys went out there and gave their best. The coaches were right down there on the mat with them and helped us understand how everything works. Although that first meet was a little intimidating, it ended up sparking a desire for us all to learn the sport together and compete. The boys are excited to start their second year and said their favorite part is learning new moves, competing at meets and playing games at the end of practice. As parents, we love the confidence and emotional control that wrestling teaches, as well as the physical benefits of conditioning, strengthening and balance. We’d like to thank the coaches and leadership at the Middlebury Wrestling Club for introducing our sons to the sport and helping them learn and develop."
All practices will be held at the same time, but wrestlers will be separated by skill level during practice.
The club is designed to provide your wrestler with the instruction and practice it take to become confident on the mat. Once your child is ready we will provide opportunities for them to compete in tournaments and meets with other clubs.
